Venue Hire


Mutton Falls is a really special, intimate venue for Weddings.


The rustic barn on the property is completely furnished with everything you could possibly need for your event including festoon lighting indoor and out that creates a beautiful atmosphere. The barn has a fully equipped, fully functioning commercial kitchen where your own caterer can prepare and serve your menu.


Directly behind the barn there's a huge parking area for your guests, and rest rooms including mobility reduced facilities.

Generally, weddings at Mutton Falls include the ceremony in the gardens overlooking the Fish River and the rolling hills of the Central West. Your guests can enjoy drinks and canapés in the garden before moving later to the barn where the Reception takes place. 

A special reason to choose Mutton Falls for your big day is the unfussy, calm atmosphere that all of our guests remark upon soon after they arrive at Mutton Falls, especially as we offer exclusive use of our Homestead and early access for the main bridal party. Arriving the day before and staying the night has a wonderful reassuring effect on everybody involved and often we find that this night in particular, creates wonderful memories for the families involved before the big day to follow. 

Our Wedding Package Includes 

Exclusive use of our historic property with bridal party early access.


Two nights accommodation, for up to 12 people ,with luxury linen and bedding.

Complimentary local sparkling, beer or cider for wedding party on the day.

Continental breakfast and light lunch on the day for bridal party guests staying at the homestead and schoolhouse.


Recovery breakfast supplies for self cook up (for homestead/schoolhouse guests only).


Full use of our 150 year old barn and gardens.


Choice of picturesque locations for ceremony, including river front.


Gas and electric heating in barn, outdoor heating in the garden and numerous outdoor fire pits.


All tables, chairs for both the ceremony and reception.


Glassware, flatware, cutlery, table linen, candle holders, ice buckets and decor with full set up.

Signing table and chairs.


Bar area with full fridge for your supplied alcohol.


Sole use of fully equipped commercial kitchen for your chosen caterer.

Rest rooms including  mobility reduced facilities conveniently located at the rear of the barn


Portable bluetooth PA and microphone, with incredible sound for the dance floor!

We offer modern day Elopements for those who'd like a small gathering to celebrate, or indeed for those who would like to re-new their vows.


Our Elopements include full use of the Homestead and schoolhouse for accommodation, full use of the gardens for the ceremony and occasion but exclude the barn and commercial kitchen and facility area.


The Homestead is gorgeous in winter with the roaring open fire and the warmth and intimacy of the venue offers a unique opportunity for couples to celebrate their union, with those closest to them.

Workshops and Functions 

The barn and commercial kitchen and facility area are a perfect location for cookery workshops, artist talks, album launches, wakes and functions. We have a portable bluetooth PA and microphone, with incredible sound, so you can rest assured that you will be heard!


We offer function style catering for Mornring Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea, all prepared by our experienced function cook on-site. Naturally, we provide all the furniture you could possibly need, including table and chair set up, tea and coffee facilities all day, and rest rooms (including  mobility reduced facilities conveniently located at the rear of the barn), and ample parking for your attendee's.
